Nokia 7610 5*/5*
Nokia's 7610 phone from 2004 was the first nokia phone with a megapixel camera. The phone was tear drop shape and came in multile colours butn mainly a red and black or white and gold . It's 2G featuring GPRS and EDGE allowing for wireess internet. Opera made a broswer for it allowing HTML pages to be displayed (i used that to go on "tik tok" it only loaded the logo imagie and thats it but it did work.)(This does show how phone were evoving to have full on web browsers). It featured GPS no not a typo. Using a app you could find your way around (not tested but is on nokia official 2004 page for the phone on wayback machine). Bluetooth replaced the infared finialy. Had upto a 1G mmc card support and took the nokia bl4c or bl5c battrey. The front and backcase were removable allowing for custom cases. The keypad was formated oddly what was a big complaint. The screen was big for the time. For apps it had standard productvity apps and a the real player so video's and audio could be played. the phone was supported mp3 ringtones so just find it online and boom sky's the limit for tones.
This phone is special to me. My first dumbphone. It was my mum's but for the past 18ish year's it sat in a drawer. Unitl 2024 were i found you and this year (2025) i put my sim card in it and boom it powered up. Sadly the battrey dead and the 2 online battreis haven't worked well one worked for a day and broke (i hope hope it's not the phone). This guy duriable surived constitant drops and still looks fab. Call quality is fine. Gets good singal texts are easy fast. Mms make communiction with images cool. Email is the only thing i can't get to work i wish i could. Internet easy GPRS. Service setting and choose O2 Wap GPRS and change homepage and bamm it worked (only perk of living in the uk ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ) To be honest the camera is cool but i've used once for a photo of my dog as the wallpaper. It's surviable. What's not storage space it came with a 64mb mmc card whats dead it just isn't read by anything. I did buy a seccond one and it was corupted so mabye these cards arn't very good. So the base 8mb is northing. So i reccomend the phone for the novalty and usablity just don't get scammed witht the battrey or memory. So for it's importance to me it's a 9/10 or a 5/5. So just it's fab!
